Hey Riz. This is of the posted subject, but I saw on your profile that you have a BRE motor. Down the road I think I going to get a motor from them, and I was wondering how you like the motor and how they treated you. What package did you get and how is it holding up? Thanks

<font color=purple> I would highly recommend one to anybody ! I did my homework with these guys and they've NEVER had a motor returned for any reason ! I called them one day and low and behold, Frank Beck himself answered the phone ! How many times does that happen ??? He was the best guy and all of the people I dealt with there were great ! I know they're expensive, but when I added up all the stuff I was going to put into having one built, I would have spent close to that or more ! To be honest, I haven't really tested it out yet since the Blazer has been out of commission doing other things since the swap. Although, I can tell you this, it was shipped real well and the service I recieved was 2nd to none ! I'll keep you posted as I use it down the road ! It does growl from under the hood !! I'm trying to get some video clips up on my web site but have had no luck so far ....I'll post em here too if I figure it out ! It's funny you asked about the motor, just before I read your post, I drop the boys at Becks an e-mail ! Weird !

Thanks for the info. I was pretty sure they were stand up guy, I sent them an email on a 383 I saw on there site. They sent me all kinds of info no it and I was done in a high class way. Now I am sold on these guys. I even told them I wouldn't be able to the buy the motor for a couple years and they still sent everything right away. Please keep us informed about how the motor works out for you. Thanks again.

P.S. What package did you get? How much torque,HP? Just wondering.

<font color=purple> Hey Mikey ! Nope, not done yet ........ I just got the wheel wells last Thursday and went up north this weekend so nothing more got done ............ October doesn't look good either, I have to help my mom and dad move and then help my Grandma move ............ I just can't get a break ! It won't be ready now until the snows gone I bet ! I've got a lot to do to it yet like carpet, door panels, dash, inner panels, body lift, wheel wells, more POR-15, 4:56 gear swap, etc..........It will be real nice when I'm done but time is so scarce right now and winter is closing in fast !!!!

Jeeeeez, what took you so freakin long?! I had mine in months ago and....oh wait, the truck is still up at the shop gutted and half primered still. Hmm, maybe I should drop college and finish it, haha. Well actually I got my '81 running so I can go up there and finish it up on the weekends. Please tell me you bedlined and undercoated the crap out of that thing. That "coating" that came on it looked kindy weak. Thats awesome to hear that another bed is in and there are no more fears of falling through the back. What are we up to now, 3 or 4 installs. Did you have any trouble getting your quarters to line up. I had to redo my tailgate posts and the bolt holes on the tailpan didn't line up exactly, damn close though. I used a come-along and welded everything in sight and that new tailgate closes right on the money.

<font color=purple> Time is so scrace for me this year, but I got it in and will have it all done in the spring .......... I have realize that winter is breathing down our necks and I've got a lot left to do, such as wheel wells, carpet, door panels, inner rear panels, 2" body lift, etc........... May as well take my time and get it al done right .......... I POR-15'd the crap out of it all ......shouldn't have to worry about it anymore !

Oh, brother. I know that feeling. I dropped my bed in and I was just on top of the world. Hey I'm done! Oh, wait you got alot left son, d'oh. Those wheel housings can be a breeze or tricky. It took a porta power to get mine in right but again my rear body mounts were punched through and the tailpan cracked so I guess I'm the extreme. I didn't take any pics of my install because I was lazy :-(. I do have some pics that I need to devolp of my new subframe in the middle. I used 1/8" square tubing (make toolman grunt). Well riz you've got me all excited now cause now Im dying to get mine done, haha. Later dude.
