There is a small, metal, inner fender type piece that bolts to the the back of the fender and under the bed. I have a pair and they do not fit my truck. Does anyone know if these are different for metal vs. wood beds or year to year? I took them off of a 67-72 truck at the junk yard but I don't remember the year or the bed style, allthough I think it was a metal bed. I have a '70 with a wood bed. I'm wondering if my bed cross rails are in the wrong place?

Turns out my bed was put together wrong. Had to modify one to get it to fit.
