I am looking for a set of factory rear leaf springs for my 89 Jimmy. Will rear leafs from an 80-88 work on my 89 Jimmy? LMC has the 80-88 for $119 each or the 89-91 for $259 each. Whats the difference?

I don't know what the difference would be. Unless they had a different number of leafs? but with eveyone buying lift springs, i would bet you could buy the stock rears of someone pretty cheap.

the only difference that I can see from the leaf packs on my '87 /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif to the ones on my girlfriends '89 /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gifis that the clamps that hold the pack together have a piece of rubber between them and the leafs on the '89. other than that, they are both 52'' with 4 leafs + OL and have teflon pads between every leaf. But I will agree that you could probably find some that are in good shape for a whole lot cheaper from someone on this board.

you might want to price these guys as well? i bought a set of springs for my nova when i completely rebuilt the front end, and i wound up ordering the rear leaf springs for it as well, but i've not yet had a chance to put them on. i forget the prices though.
