any year 76 to 91 springs are interchangeable, Right?

And what is the difference between the 4 and 5 leaf types? one 1/2 ton and on 3/4 ton?

They aren't ALL interchangeable....only 4wd. I've never pulled any off that I KNEW for certain they came off the year I was told, but the ones on my '86 are supposedly from a 1976 K5. I used the 3/6 combo on mine, it was 2/5. The difference in the springs from 1/2 to 3/4 is probably the spring rate or something. I can't believe that a truck rated for 3/4 ton would have the same amount of springs and rate as a K5. The way to tell is to measure eye to eye on the springs. Same length, no problem interchanging.

The only difference in the rear springs were on suburbans they were 56" opposed to the normal 52". I am pretty sure. Also i think as long as they are the smae length, 1/2 and 3/4 ton springs are interchangeable.

Keep the shiny side up, and the greasy side down.

The only difference is in about '86 they started using teflon pads on the ends so the ride would be better. 3/4ton springs usually have about 8 leafs in the rear if I remember right.
