Im taking a beer brake from changing my oil so I decided to ask a question. I have oil leaking onto my starter and above where i put the oil filter in. Could this be cause by a rear main seal leaking of is it the oil pan?

so it could be ANY seal above the oil filter.. rear main, oil pan, headgasket, vc gasket, intake..

got a nice little surprise when changing your oil too huh? Changed mine last week and discovered my rear main leak, nice oil drip down the back of the pan.

well i talked to my dad and he said that it probably isnt the RMS because its on TOP of the starter. He said it was more tham likely the valve covers of intake gasket. I guess Ill try the valve covers first and then Ill do the intake.

    This sux
