I just got my first blazer and the rear window works from the front switch, but the key won't work in the tail gate to roll it down, is it easy to fix this? And yes, i did get the key for it, it's round

if the key fits then it sounds like a bad wire or rear switch

<font color=blue> Not necessarily ....... I bought a whole new switch assembly and it still doesn't work ...... there's something in the wiring if you ask me ....... it's a fairly common problem ...... I too ahve no time to dig into it, but I do have a nice wiring diagram for the rear window somewhere ...... If you want, I can try and find it to give you some help ?

<font color=blue> It's a hand drawing by somebody else here ..... I got it a while back when I posted about my problems .... It's in color and shows where the wires go and what they're for ...... I'll find it tomorrow ..... I'm going to bed right now ....... I threw out my back yesterday and I need to get some ice on it .

I did a rough computer drawing of the wiring. I had passed it around for awhile if its still needed I can send I may even still have a webpage up with the diagram on it. I converted everything over from manuel to power myself and was very happy with the results its not all that hard. If you have any questions feel free to ask. A simple volt meter makes this project that much more simple. Since I am not near the end of hiding the wiring and all I may consider a write up on it. Sound interesting?

Sounds like the key switch is bad in your case brandonC my local lock smith rebuilt my assembly for $15

This may have been covered already. I replaced the switch, needed to have 3 keys then, but thats ok. then the wires went bad later and replaced those too.
