When did the Blazer/ Tahoe begin using rear shoulder belts?

I am needing to replace my rear retractable lapo belts, and thought I would upgrade to shoulder belts. Has anyone done this? Where do you install the upper pivot?

Both my kids use car seats that can be used with lap belts, but one will be upgrading to a booster seat in the next year or so.

I believe the first year was 90, my 91 has them.

The retractor itself is mounted to the roof. I would think the you would either need a later model top or maybe a cage with a bracket to hang the retactor on.

Thanks for the info. I did some further searching and found other posts about this topic. I'm going to order new seatbelts all the way around, and wait until my kids get to the booster seat requiring shoulder belts to do anything else.
