I'm about to paint my fiberglass top on my 84 k5. Are the side windows easy to get out? It looks like you just pop out the silver trim strip and pull out the rubber and glass. Of course I may be wrong.

Thats about right. You can pretty much just push it out after the silver piece is removed.

Anyone know where I can get that silver piece? Mine are all rusted under the plastic.

LMCtruck sells the center part in black or silver. I installed the black.

Just tape up the window - you are not going to enjoy installing your windows unless you have to. Are they leaking? Just leave them in and tape it. I did that and it worked fine. Changed out to slider windows and that's why I had to install the new rubber.

Masking tape is cheap, quick and works great.

    Good luck.
