All this talk about long springs and stuff has got me thinking. Stock rear springs and a shackle flip is all you really need, correct?. I just want some thing flexes better than these dam 8 inch springs.

4" TC EZ rides up front and stock springs and a shackle flip out back. I don't feel like doingall the work. :doah:

It will be rolling on 39.5" tsl's BTW

In florida we don't really have rocks to crawl. Most of my crawling wheeling is on dirt hills. Otherwise it's all mud.

And I guess this will be my build up thread. I'll get pics soon.

if you are removing rear 8" lift springs then you will need 4" lift springs and 4" flip or 4" block and 4" flip. as 4+4=8 not stock +4=8. hope i understood you corectly.

I would advise against using the stock leaf springs made in 1973. Over 30 years of use, I recomend just going a 4" all spring lift.

Tuff Country EZ Rides 52", they ride pretty damn nice on my Stepside so I think yours would be the same.

I don't have the original leaf springs.

We did this truck a few years ago and it's been in storage.

I decided to pull it out and make it drivable.

The 8 inch springs feel like they are welded solid. :(
