I was just wondering if any of you have put a rear sway bar on your K5. Also, did the younger blazers (after '88) have them on from the factory? I was looking at putting one in to reduce the swaying. Not sure if it would reallly help or not. Any recommended products. I've looked at the one LMC offers and another made by Helliweg (sp?) from some off-road magazines. Thanks

The biggest help is prolly to take the hard top off and put a soft top on.

    I've got a mind like a . . . a . . . what's that thing called?

Try JC whitney, they sell alot of applications.. I think the rear sway bars were kind of rare so finding one in the bone yard would be hard...

You migth try asking in the 2wd forum. You'll find that most swaybar related mods here involve throwing them away.

Rear sway bars were 1 ton only, at least as far as my parts catalog shows. You know how many of those are floating around : )

The best thing I would say are shocks that aren't worn out, (they help in some cases of cornering, since they would help slow down any violent rolling, like in the case of swerving to avoid an acident) and beefier (not real good for 'wheeling though) springs.

My '83 rolled like crazy, with the stock 2 leaf/5 leaf front/rear springs, but with stock 3/6 leafs on my '86, and new shocks, roll is noticeably less.
