Anyone ever seen one factory for the K5's? I know I saw one on a very late C/K Suburban, but perusing through these (click on the small pics for big ones) www.dorianyeager.com/index2.html
Why insist on counting when the ring gear has the tooth counts stamped in?

I know a guy that has an OEM window defroster on a 91 Jimmy - I'll see if I can't abscond the RPO code for it and get the part #'s for the setup.

That'd be cool! I don't recall my 85/86 parts manual mentioning that setup, but I hope it doesn't require new glass...

I really don't know about the glass - we've got a game tomorrow night, so I'll copy off his RPO code then.

I've never seen it, but I imagine that it comes as a new rear window. I'm also curious about the wiring for it. And where is the switch mounted?

I do know for sure that Blazer and Sub rear windows are not interchangeable. Ford offered rear defrost for years in Broncos.

C49 is likely the rear window defroster RPO, but not sure how you can cross reference that RPO with a part number for a specific vehicle.

Anyone thats got a truck parts manual for our vintage trucks might try looking under the tailgate/rear glass listings, and see if tailgate glass is listed specifically for C49. I've got the '85/86 manual, but no access to it for a few days.
