I did it my 700r4 blew up this weekend it`s not moving forward or reverse anymore. I think the torque converter broke down but their are 130.000 miles on the transmission so i want to rebuild the hole transmission.

Can anybody tell me who sells the best rebuild kit, i`m going to do the rebuild my self.

    Greetings from Amsterdam,

Not sure if its the "best" or not, but Summit sells a B&M kit for $213 and says its better than stock.

Good luck with your rebuild, thats one part of a truck that I wont bust in to......the tranny!

I'm not sure on the ease of installation but one name that makes a good 700-R4 is Jones Electronics Technologies (JET). See their products at http://www.jetchip.com

As mentioned by one of the others, B&M (http://www.bmracing.com) also makes a rebuild kit that is supposed to up the 700-R4's capacity to 450 ft-lbs like the JET kit. However, the JET kit is around $450 while the B&M kit is only $213.95 (Part No. BMM-70233) at Summit Racing (http://www.summitracing.com) so I plan on using the B&M kit.

    Good Luck
