I have a portable hand drill. The batteries do not last forever. Replacements are very expensive. Have you ever taken one apart and replaced the guts? Do you know of a company that can do this?

if you take it apart it will have a bunch of 'C' sized batts all linked together, you would need the batts in the type that you have (nicd, ect) then you could solder them back togeather.

but where the hell you could get them?!?!????

i dont know, and even if you could find a suplyer it would prob. be to expencive to do ( like you would have to buy a 1000 batts or something)

I have bought several cheap on eBay. Just get the model number and they are about $15 each for craftsman batteries
