For that much cash, why not just buy a brand new GM crate motor? For $2400, you could get a pretty killer crate eninge. Just my $.02, but I would put the $$$ towards a spicier motor [IMG][IMG] Good Luck

What do you need the motor for? The ZZ4 is kinda of a car motor, 'cause it needs to be wound up tight. What numbers you trying to hit, HP, torquw, etc. I like building 'em, cause you get more control of what output you're going to get.

ZZ4 about 3300.00 & the 330 horse is less than three grand.
Your lookin at some smog issues maybe. Buy a vortec core
from your local dealer. The core charge is 100.00. Then re-
build that & put the GM vortec tbi intake on. Thats my overall
plan. Maybe even I'll stroke it. If you can get your hands on
a vortec core, its a score cause it has roller cam & lifters
and so forth...-Jim

Hey man, check out this link for Bass Ass Engines. It was in another post earlier. Take a look. For $2500 you can get a 383...I saw that and now I want one. I think GM wants like close to $4000 for there 383...This seems like a smokin' deal to me [IMG]
