Im thinking about rebuilding my alternator with a 105 amp kit from JC Whitney. Does anyone have any experience with this? Im assuming it would be pretty simple to do and an inexpensive way to get some more amps.

If it's for your 73, then it's a piece of cake. The early GM alternators are very easy to rebuild. The later models are a bit trickier but can be done.
