I found a rebuildable NV4500 that needs the OD gear and possibly syncro's plus a shifter... Anyone have an approx cost estimate for all the parts needed to rebuild one of these and upgrade the OD gear?

I am just starting to look into this as a replacement for the E4OD crap that is in my '89 F350 crewcab (3rd tranny died in 1.5 years). The tranny seems to be the only weak point in the truck and it is too nice of a truck to not fix it right this time /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I cant remember the price of the 5th gear, but for bearings and synchros they were somewhere around $400 or so I think, but I got them at cost throught work for like $180. I can try and see how much 5th gear was if you want.
