I need to install a receiver hitch on a 79 blazer, I had a makeshift hitch on my blazer but i had the dual exhuast routed out the back, so i had to cut the hitch off to make room for the exhaust pipes. now i need a
different hitch to go back with. does the gas tank have to be dropped and holes drilled into the frame to mount a receiver hitch? Thanks for the help.

Life is grand in K-5 land![IMG]

no, but it can be a trick! Most hitch suppliers include a wire like tool that you use to fish the nuts into the frame. I would be surprised if you could get the gas tank back on correctlif you dropped the tank. Good Luck

Ive got a 73 w/ dual exhaust and have a class 3 hitch (think the brand is EZ) and it just bolted on with no problem...
