I am reasonably sure that 73-80 and 81-91 hitches are different. My Blazers are both pre-80 so comparing them to my 90 Burb is comparing apples and oranges /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Pickup ones have different frame mounts...the ones on the K5 (and apparently Sub) have two of the four mounting "tabs" angled to fit the frame.

Pickup frames are perfectly straight there, or very close to it.

The truck ones(the only used ones I could find) didn't fit too well on my 86 so I had to buy a new one. If you don't mind grinding the bumper a bit they should fit fine. As for the mounting holes they were the same as the one I ended up buying. The Hidden hitch I got has 3 mounting holes on each side and the tabs aren't angled. It fits mine perfectly.

A previous owner installed my hitch. It runs the whole legnth of the gas tank and is so solidly mouted it will support the whole truck ( I know we dropped it on it once by accident) . I wish I knew who made it , would be the perfect rear rockslider for every one , heres a side shot:

My 75 had some mess like that. It's got Reese all over it and whoever welded it to my frame overheated the metal and made it brittle. I had cracks all around where it was mounted. Cutting it off was a pain in the butt.
