I am planning on getting one of these real soon and was wondering what the best mods for this tranny were? I have already been looking at lower first and second gears, but was wondering what else would be good for this tranny? Thanks, Pete.

The HD K-case, which uses a 6 bolt dust cover. Get the two rods that bolt to the bottom of this dust cover and the two brackets that bolt to the steel motor mount bracket on the block.

Get the strut rod brace from the t-case to the bellhousing in order to strengthen up the combo.

Get an aftermarket aluminum deep pan for better cooling.

Get TH475 straight-cut planetary gears for it. These come out of motorhomes.

Can't think of anything else for now. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

The only other things I would suggest would be a 32 element sprag (2nd gear) and either a shift kit or manual valve body.
