The red dragon is a remake of the movie "The man hunter" or something like that. It is the first in the series of books and cam out right after the book was published back in the 80's.

correct!! it is the remake of manhunter.saw it last night liked it much more than hannibal. It is truer to the silence of the lambs format but much better i believe. Not as scary though.Id recommend it to hannibal fans for sure. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Sweet! I've been waiting for this one to come out. I hate when you wait forever to see a movie and it ends up being crappy.

I saw it over the weekend and it was good. Unlike Hanible they used quality actors this time not to mention a good plot.

the original manhunter sucked big-time. it was directed by micheal mann, of "miami vice" fame. the movie had the look and feel of a very long 'don johnson saves the day' episode.
and the english dork that played hannibal wasn't nearly as scary.

The wife and I saw it together the other day and we both liked it alot, though I'll have to say that I would have liked a little more action like the silence of the lambs
