Who wears them? I do and I love them. I have 2 sets of the 866 series 9" pull-ons. 1 for working in the warehouse and 1 for the weekends. They are the best boots I have ever owned. Who else wears Redwings?

I usually just buy whatever is steel toed at the local store once a year, but this time around I think I'm going to invest in some really tall shank steel toe side zip crazy boots

I've been meaning to spike/stud up my old pairs

They are great. I have had my original set of 2 years now. I wear them at least 300 days a year. I got them resoled last week and they will be good to go for a long time more.

I will never own another set of cheap boots again. My Redwings are WAY to comfortable and last way to long to spend money on cheap boots all the time.

Your workboots actually last long enough to resole???

    :rotfl: That's hilarious!!!!!!! :woot:

I replace mine once a year. The soles are almost perfect when they hit the bottom of the garbage can...... The rest of the boot? Split and worn to nothing.

What type of boots are they? What the hell are you doing to them to waste them that fast? I work in sheetmetal so I get alot of scuffs, scrapes, and cuts. I haven't been able to kill them yet. I also wear them on the weekends when I am wheeling or working on the truck.

I have covered them in oil, gas, ATF, welding sparks, dirt, etc and they are still alive and kicking.

These are good quality Canadian-made workboots. I work in rocky ditches everyday, and there is usually a certain amount of shovel kicking involved.

I would have to take a picture of the ground conditions around these parts for you to appreciate it. I pull 200 pound rocks out of the ground once every 3 feet when I'm digging. In fact, certain areas are about 92% rock and 8% soil. Boot killers, I tell you........

I have three pairs. Two pairs of 2218 uninsulated logger boots and one pair of 4418 insulated logger boots. They are the sh!t!! All of them are over ten years old and only one pair has craked and split (not terribly and it was only due to lack of maintenance) but the rest still look damn good for their age considering the amount of abuse they get on a daily basis. In fact, I don't oil them enough, but two days ago I started oiling them and between the three pairs they sucked two bottles of oil up and I could probably get them to take a third if I would be patient enough. These boots take the cake for longevity (as they should for the combined worth of about $675 that I laid out for them back then :yikes: ). Keep them oiled and I think they will last forever. I can't bring myself to lay out cash for any other brand of boot after having these.
