I am getting ready to pull the Jimmy out of storage and have some things to do before I get her back on the trails. I was at a mudrun last summer which was mostly clay. The truck performed flawlessly except for the fact that I really couldnt turn them in 4hi, I mean enough wheel speed to propel the truck. Now granted, I am running 39" Boggers w/ 4.56 gears and the 502 which is pushing over 500 horse, which i thought would be plenty to turn these tires in 4hi in the mud. I had to drop to 4low and a buddy told me it looked like i was getting too much wheel speed? The reason for going bigger tires is to slow down wheel speed in 4low, dont really want to go smaller tires and lose height. What do u guys think? Thanx in advance.

well, i have 4.10's and 39.5 TSL's with a mild 350 and I can get going. Your not going to beat a Z06 in a race, but the 4.56's might be a bit tall. I am a BIG proponent of running 5.13 gears in ANYTHING then add a 700R for OD (if you have smaller tires) or stick with the 350/400's for 38's and above.

i want 5.13's so bad i can taste them, and my tranny can too...
