Good hell, I have alot of respect for people with religious conviction and follow their beliefs, but "church people" piss me off beyond measure. It seems some people believe that it makes them more holy if they stab someone in thier back, especially if they believe its for their "own good" Maybe its just because I live in a "Mormon Community"

Some people confuse involvement in a church with being religious. In fact, I know quite a few people that go to church every week and think that makes them "christian" regardless of how they conduct themselves during the other 6 days of the week.

IMHO, a significant percentage of churchgoers are there simply for the social aspect.

    Flame away, lads!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I know where you're coming from. I will venture to say the majority of "religous" people are weak minded fools who rely on religon as a crutch to justify their existence on this planet.

I've known plenty of religious people who would give you the shirt of their back, have total commitment to their religion, will open to door for a stranger and live 100% the image of what a faithful person should be. But I've also known others who don't deserve to be pissed on if they were on fire.

Can't we all just get along. It seems those who live it the most profess it the least.

Sounds like a Drama Momma to me and apprently somewhere down the line she "thought" y'all were separated and just get carried away with the whole situation since her head's up her a** and she's more worried about everyone else than herself.

christian bashing is once again a very fashionalble thing, dont get confused about "goin to church" and being a christian or "bein religious" and being a christian, i am a christian, i am not anyones door mat though, i believe in capital punishment, and i believe in protecting my family and what is mine, i may not be a good christian but i will still get to heaven, even if i do have the smell of smoke on me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree with you. Simply going to church does not make you a Christian, you have to live your life right too.

Not trying to be rude, but where in my post do I sound confused? I wasn't bashing Christians in general, only the hypocitical ones(I consider my beliefs to be Christian, BTW).

christian bashing has been goin on for centuries, my statement was in general and not directed at any one individual, i hope no one took it that way, there are hypocrites everywhere, they are not just confined to the church scene, everyone is subject to human emotions and weakness and temptations of the world, just because someone goes to church does not make them any less human or less prone to human failings, it just means they are good one day out of seven /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
