You could brag about seeing a movie over 50 times(like Star Wars in the 70's) and still be able to afford to eat? I took my three kids and my wife to the movies tonight and it cost $28.00 just to get in the door. Another $18.00 for pop corn, candy and drinks. I remember my dad saying, "I used to go the store with a quarter and get a gallon of gas, a candy bar, a soda, and still have money left over." I think he was exaggerating a bit, but I know where he was coming from. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

I actually remember going to the movies as a kid and it cost $0.75 - that's right - seventy five
cents! My parents gave us a buck and a half - and that would get us into the show plus a soda
and popcorn and a box of milk duds! I may have had leftover cash!

To be honest I already pay for cable... I just wanted another box for the bedroom and can't see paying $25 extra a month for the same service. It bugs me having to pay $40 a month to watch tv!!! /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

The ones I see (on eBay) are like $150 or so and I message them about some info and they never reply... I have cable, I want another box for my bedroom. I honestly cannot see giving them more when I already pay $40 a month!! There's a few brands, I just wonder what one is the best...?

I've got all the same questions. Looked on Ebay, and see things like "descramblers" and what not, but I don't know exactly what to look for. Even $200 is a good deal, but you still have to pay a basic cable bill right?
