so i'm taking off those bucket looking things that are next to the rocker panel and under the floor...theyre trapping water and mud, now my floors r rusting from underneath....is there anything i should watch out for while i cut it off(wires, suports..etc.)? anybody have pics of the removal?

Those are your 'rocker boxes' and are the one thing that keeps your truck from sagging in the middle. The full convertables need the extra support because they don't have the half cab roof to keep the body from sagging.

I'd look into removing them cleanly, prepping the bad areas, fix the rust, coat with bedliner and re-install them if you can.
