I have 1991 k5 and someone sprayed flat black paint on the chrome bumper. Is there anyway to remove the flat paint without harming the chrome finish underneath? Would zip-strip work?

Yeap, thought about the steal wool. Won't the seal wool scratch the chrome? I was thinking the liquid type remover would work the best. Anyone try this before, possibly with a set of chrome rims someone painted?

I've used graffitti stripper before on chrome and it worked well, depends on if the paint was an enamel though.

I started with nothing and I still have most of that left! - Pictures

I will try the fine steel wool and if that doesn't work, I'll try the Graffiti Stripper... Thanks.
