Does anyone have any tricks for removing the front pinion bearing on a dana 60?? I don't really want to buy a special puller if I don't have to. There is really no room to get behind it either to try and drive it off with a punch, it sits right against the pinion teeth.

    Thanks

Your supposed to put a puller behind the bearing and press the pinion off. The only other way aould be to cut the cage off, then cut the piece around the pinion with a little die grinder, but waaaay to much work. Just go to a shop that does gears, they should be able to do it for you.
