The shop that lifted my truck didn't grease the spring bushings in the front springs. What's the best way to remove the bushings so I can grease them? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I took a long 3/8" threaded rod and found a tube that was just big enough for the bushing to slide into yet still fit on the leaf pack, then used a washer and nut on both sides of my 3/8? rod...tighten them up and the bushing slid out... /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

The key here is to drive out the steel bushing. I used the head of a 3/8" or 7/16" bolt...whichever one is the right size to just fit inside the rubber bushing hole without getting it wedged in there. So, pound out the steel sleeve, then you can usually grab onto one of the halves of the rubber bushing with a large channel lock pliers. Use a twisting motion and you'll most likely be able to get the one half out. For the other half, just pound it through from the other side. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
