Well -- I'm going to be in the market for a new SUV soon... I like having a project car/truck, but the wife needs something reliable (new). Of the new trucks out there, what do y'all (I've been in Mississippi too long) is a comparable replacement to a K5. From outward appearances, It looks like the Checvy Tahoe Sport is strikingly similar in size and shape. Anyone have any experiences? Recommendations?

Since when does the word new mean "reliable". All new means to me is "warrenty" so the dealers can fix all the factory screwups. I have seen many new cars break in the first 6 months that the people had them. My wife and I bought a new car once and it was in the shop 5 times in the first year that we had it. The new Tahoe is nice if you don't mind the price and the payments. I would recomend one that is a coulple years old but in nice shape and shop around for the best deal.

Don't rule out the extra 12 inches or so of storage space in the Suburban. It's great for hauling lots of people and stuff!
