Looks like I'm going too have too repo a car I was selling. The guy is late on the payments, isn't answering my calls, ...ect. I hate too have too go take the car back, but I refuce too get screwed over when I was trying too be nice. I've checked into it, I just need to get a repo order from the courthouse. Biggest problem is the car is about 500 miles from me. I sold it before I moved. So I guess I'll be making a road trip up to Rapid City, SD. in the near future and towing the El Camino back to Omaha because the guy I was selling it to blew up the engine. Hopefully he hasn't ****ed up anything on the car. Anyone repoed a car before ??? Any advice ???

I had a friend that did repos with his pickup truck. The boom would lay flat in the bed and was undetectable untill he hit the switch and the boom would come out of the bed. I went with him a few times to scope out the neighborhood and the location of some cars. If you think it's going to be a problem you might want to hire some one with that kind of a setup to rip the car out of where it's at and bring it to a parking lot where you can have more time to load it and not have to worry about the guy beating you head in. :doah:

I'm having a friend up in Rapid City do the repo for me. I'll just go up and get the car from his house. He's with the sheriff's dept. up there, so I don't think we're going too run into any problems. I was wondering about getting the title transfered back into my name. I'm the lein holder on it right now.

The repo order is going too cost me a whole $5.00 !!!!!!!! The DMV is sending me the forms, I have too fill them out, send them back with my copy of the title, and five bucks. They'll issue me a new title putting the car back in my name. (I'm the current lien holder.) Then I can go repo the car.

That's the DMV in SD, I currently live in NE. I think I'll just wait, take care of that step by mail. Once the title of the car is back in my name, I have a couple friend up in Rapid City that will go repo the car for me. One of my friends said he'll store the El Camino in his garage for me till I can come up to get it.

Like Fumes said video, but in some states it is illegal to video someone with out consent and in some states it is legal as long as there is no audio on the video. I would check the legality of it before doing such a thing.

I won't be there when it is being repoed. I have a friend back up there that is with the sheriff's dept. that said he'd be happy to repo it for me. He'll get it for me as soon as I have the repo order taken care of. Then I'll just need to take a trip up to Rapid City to his house too get it.

If the guy blew the engine then he might have the car parked in the garage or maybe even a storage unit somewhere. Something to think about.

I think it's at the yard where he works. (Small auto shop / tire store) They have a fenced in storage yard. I have people up there trying too locate it for me.

So Paul how much did the guy stiff You for? It's been a while and I can't remember. Seems like You have had a string of bad luck with things (job, Elkey) since the big move. You should go beat up a cross dressing transvestite to make Yourself feel better. If not a n00b will work.

A little over a grand. My luck has always sucked, that's why I stay away from the casinos, LOL. With my luck, that cross dressing transvestite would be a undercover cop.
