    The news said he died yesterday from complications with diabetes.

    He was one of my favorites

    well about two years ago remember there was a rash of famous ppl deaths, seems like famous ppl have the worst health a little more than half the time.. crazy..

    The original "Man in Black". He was the man. I kind of expected it though. June died just a little while ago, and it is a morbid fact that when one spouse dies, the other usually follows within 2 years. Sad, but true more often than not. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

    KHYI...95.3...has played his music in regular rotation for years...Awesome Tribute to the man and his music 7-9 this morning....The Range has long been my favorite station, but today they outdid themselves....There will never be another like him...

    I love the Range! I was listening to it today also.

    I figured Johnny wouldn't be long for this world after June died. He loved his wife.
    I can't watch his video "Hurt". Even before June died, I couldn't handle it. Just cause he looked so old...I knew we were going to loose one of the great ones soon.

    He got nominated for several awards for the CMA's too.
