Reusing diff seals?

    When i change my oil, can i just use silicone or rtv and use the same diff seal on the axles?Thanx

    The seal will probably tear when you remove the cover depending on how the last person put it back on. I would just clean the current seal off good and only use blue rtv.

    'diff seal' are you just refering to the cover gasket?
    most guys and shops just silicon it with no gasket, I hate scraping silicon so I try and get gaskets(it is like pulling teeth to get the gaskets)
