I usually don't post these, someone else usually does. But, seeing as this is a board for K5 owners, I thought I'd share the sad news of a brother who has passed away. ATaylor was a member of the AustinK5 forums. Although he had not been a member there very long, his enthusiasm could be felt on the board, as he worked locally with a ranch owner, clearing trails that are soon to open to wheelers in the area.

I'll let the link tell the rest of the story. RIP Andy.

    Andy Taylor

Terrible to see anyone go out that way, especially someone who dedicated themselves to keeping the rest of us safe. May he rest in peace.

Very , very sorry to hear about this.

I'll never understand these kind of things. Why in the world did this guy have to shoot the Deputy? For what purpose? He should have just put the bullet in his own brain and left everyone else out of it.

    Yep, I understood the story.

My point is that these people always have to take someone else with them. They don't have the nerve to just go end their stinking useless lives on their own. There was no reason for him to shoot the Deputy besides pure malice IMO.

Every time I read one of these stories it's the same. Gunmen shoots others than shoots himself. If they had any honor or dignity they would just skip to the end and off themselves directly.

It's just one of those things that makes me mad. A great guy was killed and a bunch of people will suffer because of one gutless criminal.

My condolences to his friends and family also. Our state has lost two deputies recently as a result of shootings.
