All right, well the wife has finally convinced me to take some time off and go home for a week. Well actually heading south to pick up some more parts and well stopping to see the family while passing through, but anyways, I will be heading from NC down to Alabama and onto Louisiana. I wil have my truck and an empty trailer on the way down so if you need to get something big to someone down that way, I can assist. Also on the way back can take some smaller stuff but the trailer will be full coming back up. Let me know if anyone needs anything delivered.

Make sure when the truck is done and you start talking the "budget build" you factor in the gas. Man you wont be home long enough to put all the parts collected together:wink1: :wink1:

Really that has been the only cost so far is the gas, minus a few little things here and there. I figure this way, for the 400 I have put into it now, 250 is for gas and well in a few short weeks I will have a truck that will run down the road under its own power. I will be bringing this one back to the house so as I take something off I can go ahead and put it on while I have the tools out and remember where it goes.

John being clarkjw24 or nvrenf (sp?). If it is Clark then I could do it no problem, but going to Alabama with about 8 foot hanging off the end, I wouldn't feel too comfortable with it.

I could do that one of the weekends I go down to BS with John, which I was down at his place twice last month.

I will be down in Alabama on the first and probably at looking at heading to LA on the 5th or so. Somewhere in that general area and will be passing right through Mobile. PM me your number and I will let you know a more solid date when I get down there, plus I have some Auburn memoribilia for you too:D:D:D

Well I made it back early this morning. It was a nice little 7 day vacation away from home. Met another member from CK5 who was kind enough to give me an M1008 out of his driveway. Now Barnacle has a 6.2l diesel motor and wiring and alot of miscellaneous things that will save me hours in the junkyards around here.

I also learned how not to load a trailer:mad: (yes I have some pics, lwill post later) Made a 5 hour drive turn into 8 or so hours. Top speed of 51:mad::mad: But got back to the inlaws and used some farm equipment and got the load turned around. Had a blow out on the trailer as well. But all in all the trip was well worth it seeing as how I seen family and visited for a while with everyone I hadn't seen in a few years.

Nooooo, no tickets. I learned my lesson a few years ago with tickets. My wife rags me and says I drive like an old man but I am just more careful........
