allrighty, since I'm bored, and looking for ideas, I'm gonna start a thread, and make you guys come up with ideas/share what mods you want to do/mods you have done to your suburbans to make the supreme vehicle that much more supreme ( supremer? )

what I have: 1973 K20 suburban. 350/350/205, 4 inch lift, blocks in the back. 33x12.59-16.5 AT tires on wagonwheel rims. spray on rubber truckbed lining for paint, and finaly have all the windows in it.

    Mods I plan on:
-replace tired 350 before the mains fall out of it with a happy 454. ( found bearing dust when I changed oil last time)
-replace TH350/205 combo with something that'll hold up to a 454's brute strength punishment. thinking along the lines of SM465/205 combo for now, possibly NV4500 or NV5600 when I have the time/loots.
-replace old crappy block lift with 6 inch springs all around.
-Dana 60 front, crossover steering and etc.
-35 to 38 inch tires, because 33's look puny.
-power doors, because cranking windows sucks.
-AC charge, because this is Arizona afterall
-make stereo fit the rear better: currently just a massive speakerbox that takes up too much room. want something that fits allong the sidewalls, so I can still carry people/stuff.
    -better seats
-roll cage(?) (not really nessicary on suburbans, as they've got 8 window pillars)
    -doubler? trippler? overdrive?
-internal toolbox storage racks, welded/bolted in place, and custom fit to hold the tools and parts.
-disc conversion for the rear (have the brackets, just need to get the calipers, brakelines, rotors, and time)

not sure what else I want t odo, so everyone else chime in with pictures, ideas, and stories.

lets see... gotta finish the engine. gonna stroke the 350, get msd, bigger carb, and some other tweaks here and there. Still gotta finish my front fenders and start on the engine box so I can get it sprayed with line-x.

Oh ya, my springer suspension is currently being built.

Oh this is too much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soon: New bumpers front and rear, trimed fender wells, sliders with hindge up and down steps (for the wife), winch on front off of telephone company truck, new engine mounts and trany mounts (old ones worn out), spare tire hung out back, pro comp stainless flood lights up front, body lift is debatable, and some more cool neon interior lighting (just to keep the import guys jealous).
Down the road: Looking at multi port fuelinjection with 100 shot nitrus (variable setting for low R power), headers, rino lined interior and under carage, ground up restoration (cab off frame), loud pipes (so everyone knows when I'm there), confer roof rack starting at the back of front doors and going all the way back, flood lights off of rack to light up around, interior roll cage all the way back ( posibly exoskeleto design if I can figure out how to reinforce and keep light), and all of those other ideas I havn't finished designing yet. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
