I'm getting on one of those kicks, where i think i wanna go do all this cool stuff, then check my pocket book and think "Where has all the money gone?"

I wanna build a total custom k5 with 1 ton axles tube body, like a dune buggy or something, then take it out in the dunes and beat the crap out of it

IMO, cheapest way to do it is forget the blazer and just buy a K30 to cut down. Not much to buy and less to change/fab that way. Sell the extra stuff (like the body) and go from there...

    I agree with Baddog. Cut up a K30. Save a K5.
It'll be cheaper, easier, you get a stronger frame, and stronger axles.
