How low have you guys gotten your idle speed to go for rockcrawling? I run a '86 454 with stock Q-jet and I was thinking I could make up for lack of crawl ratio by just idling at 500 or 600 to slow the truck down. Also, does anyone have a guess has to how much torque is avaiable down that low? Even with 56:1 crawl a paltry 50 ft/lbs would probably be enough to stay moving, but I'm just curious.
