My boxes appear to be bolted onto the underside of the body.
As far as I know ALL first gen K5s came with them. They are supose to add structual support for the body when the top is off. From what i've read anyway.....
A full cage may do the same thing or you can come over to my place and make a set of your own using 1/4 steel plate and takeing hte specs off my rig???
Just let me know when your ready!

Sure no problem! Now that I am removing my rockers it would be easyier to get the specs off of them. But if your 10pt cage is well mounted then you should be fine with out them....I would think anyway...??

I've heard of them being removed to install dealer installed saddle tanks.
