If you are in Va or one of the surrounding states you should try to make the trip. As with last year Boss and myself are planning the run again for August. This is a heads up message so everyone has time to work on their K5's. However the run is open to any 4x4's so if you have friends who are interested, bring them along also.

The following link has a write up about the trail. http://boss.coloradok5.com.

More than likely we will meet at the Cracker Barrell in Harrisonburg Va, on Saturday around noon. From there we will hit the trail and for those who want to camp we can camp, for those who want to just wheel the day and go home, feel free to do so also. I know I'll be camping though.

If you think you will be able to make the run, reply to this post so we can get a list started. I know the turn out wasn't that great last year so lets see if we can get a decent size turnout this year!

You know I'm there. And my K5 will be built up and ready to rock by then. (August 2001). [IMG]
I will also be camping. I'm hoping this years turn out will be great, b/c I do remember a few months ago, a lot of people from VA, MD, and PA were saying they wanted to get a run going with us K5ers and friends, so lets do this. [IMG]

I know I am in and I will definately be camping too. I oculd probably get some other people to go, I don't know yet. Also, any weekend is fine for me.

Keep the shiny side up, and the greasy side down.

I'm in again. I went last year but nobody else showed up, except for Boss. And I never did meet up with him on the trail.

I will try to be there as well....depends on whether we are at sea or not. If I do make it, I want to camp too. Keep me updated.

    Hey Boss,

I am definitely in for the run. Hopefully by August I will have my gears in my truck. Just keep me posted. The very beginning of August would be the best for me because I dont know when football starts back up. I will probably camp as well. I will contact a few others around my area and see if they want to take their K5s too. Definitely add me to the list of people for the Rocky Run. I think you have my email but if not it is saunderse@email.hsc.edu. Definitely keep me posted. This makes me want to spend some money!

    flcpl4fn,
I just added your email address to the group list...so far we have 9 emails in there..meaning 9 K5's. Anyways...lets vote. What do yall think about the weekend of Aug. 4 & 5 (Sat & Sunday)??

Or Aug. 11 & 12??? Let me know. I'm good for either one. Or, if yall have another weekend suggestion, Let me know, we can vote on that as well. Take Care.

    PrimerK5,

Yes, it will be MOSTLY K5's there, but I think there are other trucks coming also. 79' Bronco comes to my mind. It is open...so if you have buddies with other trucks, bring them along. It should be fun.

    Sign Me Up!

At least sign me up for someone who really wants to go, will talk about it all year, and at the last minute has something come up so I can't go again!

    Looking forward to it (again!)
