Some Pics are here. I know the moderator of that section /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a few more @ home. Need to take more, just haven't had the time. Nice set-up IMO. Custom adaptor b/w the 203 and the 205. I am going to run a Driver's Side drop D60, so I ordered one to fit a Furd 205. Got it through John Staszak, JOHNS351C on the PBB, 715-299-3512 or 715-333-7520. Ordered it clocked so the front output is flat. $450 with your 203 output shaft. $50.00 core on the shaft.

Will get some pics of the shaft once I get a chance to get to the shop and take more pics. I bought the 205 from him as well. So he shipped it assembled. Then I sold the divorced 205 that I was going to run to Cybrfire. Everyone is happy. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Let me know what else I can get you. Just need some prodding. Too much going on @ home here lately. Not enough play time. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I guess I should take some pics of the SWEET 32spline 203 range box that I got from Neil (Mudzer), too. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: RODZILLA, show us your new 203 to 205 \"Dubler\" kit!

Just saw Stephan's post in the ORD section. Not going to rebut his post there. I have been very satisfied w/the ORD products that I have purchased in the past. I intend on continuing to purchase from them in the future.

From what I have seen from JOHNS kit there are some simularities. Keep in mind this is for the GM 203 to Ford 205.

    Hardened shaft. Not sure

Strength. I have a 31 Spline input and 32 outputs w/this set up.

Length. 3" from face of 205 to rear of 203. Not sure of the overall Length of the ORD adaptor.

Access to all bolts on the adaptor. No blind bolts.

Bearings. Not sure. Have not had mine apart.

Adaptor looks plenty stout. Time will tell.

Variety. Mine is a clocked ford 205 mated to a GM 203.

Details. Does not come w/the PTO cover/breather or gaskets. Easy enough to correct w/plenty of Beer $ left.
Also am planning on fabbing my own shifter no matter which kit I would have purchased.

Once again, NOT bashing ORD. Just stating what I have seen from the product I purchased.

The posted link does not work for me. It's asking for a username and password.

I agree. No person here would dispute the unparalleled quality of ORD products- as well as the outstanding customer service. Every product I have purchased from them has been top notch.

On the other hand, competition on a product like a transfercase "dubler" is a good thing for the little guys like you and I. The whole suppy and demand thing could bring the price to a more reasonable level....IMO.

The site has been down for about a week. Not sure why. I will post some pics tonight in the member's section and link them.

Install has not been going well. Wife was diagnosed w/Hodgkin's Disease the first of July. Hopefully everything will go well, and I can have it on the trail by next yr.

    Rod, thanks for the pics.

Question about the cut down/modified shaft....Does he re-heat treat the modified 203 shaft?
Will he warranty a broken shaft?? ...if it happened to snap.

Keep us informed about your likes and dis-likes of this setup!!

Re: RODZZILLA, show us your new 203 to 205 \"Dubler\" kit!

Got an e-mail from him last night answering some of the questions
    [ QUOTE ]
We do not harden the shafts for a reason. The hardened shaft are known to break, we have never had a broken shaft, but if someone did break one, we will stand behind it unless we suspect that it was install related or lack of maintained (no oil or something) and if you were running the small setup in a big rig, (th350 203-205 in a full size heavy rig).

As for a bearing in the adapter it is not only not necessary but there is no room for it.

As for the PTO cover/breather or gaskets, we don't offer it because it would be more work on our part and we would have to charge for it, I believe most people can figure them parts out for them selves. we want to keep it affordable.

Re: RODZZILLA, show us your new 203 to 205 \"Dubler\" kit!

WMS has started to manufacture their shafts but not for obvious reasons. They can't keep a stock of used shafts in house anymore and building them is easier. It also cuts down on the wait time after you order the parts.

I believe Casey said a cut down shaft does not affect the heat treating in the original shaft. I guess its the process in which its cut. I'll try to find out more. Just passing on info about other vendors - not trying to say its better.

I like the idea of an affordable Doubler. Now all my cheap @$$ friends (like me /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif) can buy one too! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Neil,
I believe I'm OK with being called a "Cheap A$$"!
    I've been called much worse...

Rod, is he saying that he offers the 27 sp version and if one were to install that setup in a "very heavy vehicle" that he would not warranty that? (That's how I read it)

I would do the 32 sp version anyway.

Yes, they do have a 27spl version. One of the trucks in Four Wheeler's TTC this year ran one of their set ups. Chevinator Was the name of it, I think.
