    Hey everybody,
I've got a question about making a rollbar for my Truck. I saw a "pipe" bender at Northern for about a 100 bucks. It bends up to 2 inch inside diameter pipe. Is it okay to make a roll cage with this bender. My buddy has got some schedule 40 tubing at his house. Would this be okay to make a rollbar out of. Has anyone else done this. Thanks for the help!!! /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Bumpers yes, rocksliders yes, cages no. Use real tubing i.e. DOM, HREW for the cage.

Schedule 40 would not be tubing. Tubing is measured on the O.D. and pipe is measured on the I.D, thus 2in. sch 40 pipe has a O.D. very close to 2 1/2 inches. Do not use pipe for a roll cage, use tubing..........
