after having my cage installed, i decided to put some red padding on it. the red REALLY stands out, but it matches the red GMC on the grill and the red on my steering wheel. i am also going to get some red water proof seat covers to "livin" up the interior as well as to protect my seats.

The thing is, it looks kinda like a show truck, i.e. all show and no go, and wanted some opinions--good, bad or indifferent.,

thanks

Once you get some blood, hair, and mud on it you'll be ok.

But really - everything new will stand out for awhile. Probably looks good.

Hey,
Just checked out your truck pics - that thing is cool!

Do you have more pics of the cage you can send me? In particular I am looking for the 'cab' part.

Thanks,

Dave

Nah, the only thing gay about rollbar padding is that it keeps you from breaking things during a violent maneuver... things like arms, hands, skulls, etc. You know, painful things.

Just messin' around; I think it's a good idea.

It's always darkest just before it goes pitch-black...

Thanks Rob.
Couldn't tell by the pics - are your seats mounted to the cage?

I have some other cage questions but I will make a new post.

Thanks,

Dave

naw, they are in the original spot. i may do that in the future. although you cant see in the pic, the shoulder mount that used to go on the pillar, is on the hoop. the bottom is still on the floor. not the best way to have them, but it keeps the po-leece from messing with me. it will be modified when i get back from new york.

rollcage padding:
very functional, and who gives 2 sh*ts what it looks like or who cares about it. also, it looks like a "performance" mod, if that matters. i need to get some for mine since i always haave to sit up and look over the hood

The full-topper looks great! Personaly, I think the red roll bar padding would be a little loud. But thats just me.

And how come everyone owns a silver C5 vette, but me?

Hey, nice looking K5. Great work on the top conversion.

You can consider the rollcage pads as a sort of decoy, they'll get people saying stuff like "wonder if this is the first time it's been off the concrete?" Then you can go and roll over 'em!

Did you relocate the rear shock mounts? Just wondering about any specifics (or potentially closeup pics) since I currently have the bed pan out of my 88 and may do that while its accessible.

Thanks

John

Man, that truck is so awesome that I wouldn't be worried at all what people had to say. I can't wait for mine to look like that.
