BorregoK5 of Echobit fame is building my roll cage. The 2 bars across the bed that you see are removable and will support a custom diamond plate deck on aluminum framing (he's fabbing that too).

Still have to do the seat supports and finish the deck.

The cage is perfectly square, and is as tight a fit as I've ever seen. Really impressive work. I bow in his general direction. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You going to fit a rear seat or are you gonna tell your friends not to fight over who gets to sit in the remaining ONE? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif LOOKS GREAT!

Both of those cross bars come out and the rear seat will bolt onto part of the cage on the floor, that isn't built yet.

With the rear seat out, there's a locking deck that will sit on those cross bars you see now and I can store stuff under it, sleep on the deck, etc. And it will be secure.

SWEET! Good idea but different than mine. Rear seat is a no go. when(soon i hope) I relocate the rear shock the hoops will go through the floor and have a tab from the cage to the hoops holding everything sturdy. May not work as planned but im gonna try /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

That's an interesting idea. I suppose you'd just need to have the cage pretty tied to the body - or are you going to tie to the frame?

Cross brace for the B hoop is in the plans (removable so I can recline the front seats flat) - just haven't gotten to it yet.
