I just purchased an 86 Blazer, VERY excited about this purchase. One of the things that I want to put into this is a roll cage. I have done quite a bit of searching and haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas:confused:? By the way, I love this forum. I'm going to be busy this summer :D

If you are like me then you are picky as hell, And you will soon find out that no company makes a roll cage that suits your needs or wants. For that reason i suggest build your own.

I bought the Smittybilt front and rear roll cage kits and put them together, now I've added a few pieces (rear extension/down tubes, cross supports for the rear, and some other peices front and rear) to make it look like I want it. I'm into it about a grand now but money well spent.

$280 sounds like a good deal for a cage. I wonder if it would need to be chopped to fit under the hard top. Also, I wonder if they're assembled, because if they were not assembled they could work great for a base to build off of.
