How about some pics of rolled rigs.

When you roll, is it good to shut down immediately? What's good recovery method? just winch frame the frame?

    1. haven't got my pics back yet

    2. we pulled it back down the hill on its side and pushed it onto its wheels

    3. it'll probably shut itself off but I'd suggest shutting everything electrical off, grabbing the fire extinguisher, and getting out as quickly as possible

Thank God mine didn't light on fire and the passenger window was open.

It's always good to have a kill switch wired within easy reach of the driver.

cegusman posted these a while back of his on its side. If the climb wasn’t so rutted out, he would have gone all the way over.

The longer we looked at it like that the bigger the truck got but it flopped back over pretty easy.

Mine's fuel injected so not sure if it would shutoff if it rolled, would it? What would create a fire? Oil?

Here's a good one for ya. I rode with this guy during practice on Saturday, this happened on the first heat on Sunday. He broke a spindle, an axleshaft and the cage of the driver's side partially collapsed. He got the truck fixed and ran the second heat. Picture is courtesy of 5024x4.

This one is a Class 8 truck that was trying to run down his competition. Same phtographer.

Ok, technically it isn't mine, and it's actually 8 wheel drive, but I was driving it when it rolled.

Oh and this is what caused me to roll, not as cool as pushing a vehicle to it's limits, but it made one heck of a ramp. He turned right in front of me and I was rolling at about 40 with a 6 1/2 yd load.

Did he die? Sure looks like it could have been a lethal wreck.

No actually he basically walked away from the wreck. I however broke a vertebrea in my neck, screwed up my back, broke my left leg (which is still getting worked on) and took a chunk of my left elbow off.

All in all were both lucky to be alive. I have some shots from the other side of the car and you can see how he had enough room in the driverseat to survive.
