I have a hard top on my 90 K5 Silverado and would like to get a rack or cargo hauler that can haul stuff as well as carry a canoe. It will have to work with the Stealth light bar installed on the main cab. Any info?
    Thanks, Shawnboy.

I've got a Con-Ferr rack that I've taken on and off of my K5 that holds quite a bit of cargo. As far as the canoe, I think Yakima or Thule makes a carrier adaptor for their racks that you may be able to attach on top of the Con-Ferr rack. Just a suggstion. Good Luck

Thanks for the info. Do any of these vendors have websites?

I did a lot of research for my 85 and found the Conn-Ferr to be the best. On there web site they say which one fits which Blazer, but if it will fit on the top of your blazer (dimension wise) then it will fit. Don't worry about the years. I have one of the 4.5x6 one piece welded units with 6" sides on its way to me.

As for your cannoe, get a high sided rack like the Conn-Ferr. Then, get some blocks of that real thick packing foam (not the styrofoam, but the softer foam). Cut grovves in it to fit the rack sides and on the other side for the canoe nels. Then, just strap it down real good.

Thanks to all for the info. I will check these sites out. I really need the extra cargo space. When you have a 10 and an 11 year old and a 3 year old hyper active Springer Spaniel it makes for interesting road trips.
