I've seen pics of those before. Perhaps Wildernest was the brand name??? I think that I'd get tired of climbing up and down, especially for those 2 AM trips to the latrine. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I talk to the guys from hannibal every year at the sema show and want one of the hard top tents so bad but for the price its hard to do. besides we have an enclosed trailer that I haul my truggy in and we just stay in that.
I guess when we start doing longer trek runs then I will have to get one.

not with the quality that these guys have. the one that is pictured above is set up and its an older design. what you dont see is how compact it is when its folded up and they also have a cover that goes around it when its closed that is made of a rubbery plastic thats waterproof.
they only take abot 20 seconds to completely set up and they can handle up to 100 mph winds.

What do you mean get up to go to the latrine. You are already 7 feet off the ground, open the door and go. It will be dry by morning, just make sure the truck windows are closed if it is windy /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif. I would be more scared of a windy night. If the truck moves just a little is seems like its tipping over when you 7' are up in the air.

I saw these tents a while back and wanted one then. I called the company and spoke to a few people and never got a good answer, will the fiberglass top support this type of weight? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
