I took the distributor out of this guy's truck, marked the location of it, and sat the rotor pointing the direction it was on the dist, replaced the pick up coil, and the distributor wont go back in right....its about 60 degrees off. Anyone know what I did wrong?

The oil pump shaft has probably rotated out of place. The bottom of the distributor has a piece on it that fits in a slot on the shaft that drives the oil pump. You need to pull the distributor back out and turn the oil pump shaft to the correct position. All you need is a long flat tipped screwdriver to turn the shaft. Good luck.

Thanks - I know exactly what piece you are talking about. I'll fix it tomorrow.
