Two years ago, I took off all my emmisions crap and had a new carb put on. The truck(84K5/305) never ran better and I probably increased my power by 5-10%, but I've continually experienced one problem. I live in the Rockies in Canada, where generally it's drier than a warm day in hell. Even when it's snowing, the air stays dry. Anyway, the odd day will be damp, and if you add cold to that, my truck will fire fine, right into high idle, but if I give it a few minutes, she'll start to bog and will eventually choke out. If I restart it, and hold her at high idle for a while, eventually it will smooth outand idle fine. I had my guy check it out and he couldn't find a problem.Keep in mind it has to be cold AND damp for this to happen. Any East Coasters have similar problems?
