I am looking for information on a rear bumper for a 1990
3/4 ton suburban. Does anyone have any information on
Ruenel bumpers or any similar ones. I plan on installing
a warn 12000 lb @ the rear. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I have a pair on my K5. They are very stout and well made. If I were to hook a winch to my rear bumper it would be a trick to hide it. There is no room behind the bumper and mounting it otherwise would block the license plate and be difficult to protect. Maybe the sub has more room behind the gas tank. I got both of my bumpers for about what you would pay for the rear now though. At their new prices I think I would have someone fab something up for me though.

Tim make AWESOME stuff...When TJ rolled his K5, the only thing left unscathed was his rockers and bumpers /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif...As soon as I get some cash, I am having Tim do the work for my Blazer...Seriously, if you want stuff that looks good and holds up to abuse like no other bumber I have ever seen, check out 4x4 Iron...

Does 4x4 Iron make a rear winch bumper? I don't see one on their site. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Ruenel makes a good STRONG quality bumper. But like said before me, you will pay for it /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif From what I have seen on the 4x4 Iron bumpers they seem very strong and cost less. Also I'm pretty sure 4x4 Iron would build you whatever you would want them too. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Just my .02 worth.

I bought a Ruenel front bumper for my 88 Sub back about 7 years ago. Very well made, fit perfectly and the Warn 12k winch worked well in it. It was NOT cheap but it was quality. If I was to do it over, I would look around for someone that can do it cheaper, but try to compare "apples to apples". Sometimes when we find cheaper, we don't really have the same "apple".

Thanks for the compliments guys. I dont have a rear winch bumper on my site cause no one has ever asked for one. If that is what you need I can build you one. Just give me a buzz and we can discuss it. 866-303-2368.
